<div>At the center of it all is Aubrey, the band’s guitarist, quiet, loyal, and fiercely driven. As the chaos grows louder, she is forced to step into the spotlight to save both the band and herself.

<div>Unplug is a story about ambition, friendship, and the cost of chasing the light too hard. It is a raw and emotional look at how far we will go to hold on to what we love.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The project is a graduate thesis film at Chapman University, created by a group of filmmakers who share a deep love for music and storytelling. The idea came from conversations about fame, identity, and how passion can sometimes turn into self-destruction. It grew into a story about what happens when art, ambition, and personal pain collide.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>How Unplug Started</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The project started coming to life in Summer 2025, when our team began developing the script, designing the visual style, and assembling a crew of talented artists from Chapman’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. Every step of this journey has been about authenticity, collaboration, and capturing the energy of a real rock story.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are now entering production, with filming planned for January 2026 in Orange County and Los Angeles. Our locations include a real concert venue and sound stages where we will bring the band’s world to life. The energy, the music, and the emotions behind the characters are all at the heart of what we are creating.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your support will help us complete this journey. Every contribution goes directly toward costumes, sets, music, and the live performance scenes that will make Unplug unforgettable. This film is for anyone who has ever chased a dream, lost themselves in it, and found their way back through the music.

<div><strong>Our Initial Goal and Why Stretch Goals Matter</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our initial goal of $3,000 covers only the most essential production costs, the bare minimum needed to get Unplug made. This amount helps us secure basic equipment, locations, meals, and transportation for the crew during the shoot.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But to truly bring Unplug to life, we need your help reaching the stretch goals, going up to $15,000. Every milestone unlocks a key part of the film’s vision, from better lighting and camera tools that shape the concert scenes to upgraded costumes, hair, and makeup that define each character’s look.

<div><strong>Meet the Crew</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unplug is the result of a passionate group of filmmakers coming together with one shared goal: to tell a story that feels raw, human, and alive. Each member of our crew brings a unique voice and creative vision, shaping a film that blends emotion, music, and cinematic energy into something unforgettable.
