Our sister Sharrell ‘Faye’ Bassett is 59 years old. She was a young at heart, vibrant happy massage therapist. She was so passionate about massage therapy and healing the mind, body and soul that she opened her own spa. It was nothing big and fancy but it was hers and she created a loving, friendly and inviting environment. This was until cancer took over her life and left her unable to work or pay the spa bills.
Our sister was diagnosed with ovarian cancer which has since spread to her stomach. She had the ovaries removed but her oncologist said she has numerous tumors inside the lining of her stomach and inside her stomach near her liver and colon. He said that surgery was not an option because the cost of doing surgery to remove them even with insurance would be too much for her and even with surgery she still will not be cancer free. He said that she has a very aggressive advanced cancer and gave her six to nine months to live if she do nothing. He suggested that she do chemo but from the beginning our sister expressed that she did not want to do chemo. She was already very weak and sick. She lost so much weight she was almost unrecognizable. She had no appetite and when she did eat she couldn’t keep it down.
It was the worst feeling ever watching our sister wither away in the front of our eyes knowing there was nothing we could do to help her.
We are a praying family so we continued to pray and believe in God for healing in her body. During this time someone told our sister about an alternative treatment Centre in Tijuana Mexico. Her daughter immediately started researching everything She could find on these centers and came across Immunity Therapy Center in Tijuana. They had really good reviews and many successful stories. She called them the next day and talked to the doctor who advised her to bring our sister to mexico. Treatments however was $19,000 for a three week program plus hotel, flights and other misc expenses. Our loving family and friends came together and raised this money so she could go to Mexico to start treatment. Well let me say that our sister is on her third week and has already gotten better. She is no longer vomiting, she’s eating a lot better, she’s walking better and even taking stairs now. However, the initial 3 weeks was not long enough and she needs to do an additional three weeks for the treatments to really work. Our family has already given everything they have and now we are in desperate need of help to continue our sister’s treatments so she can come back home to us healthy and well.
