<div>Help Samantha and Her Son Through an <strong>Urgent</strong> Transition
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have less than <strong>a</strong> <strong>week</strong> . And right now, there is no safety net.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are reaching out on behalf of our cousin, Samantha, and her young son because they are facing a situation no mother should have to face alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Samantha is losing her place to live. She and her son currently do not have another place to go.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is no longer simply about wanting to relocate or looking for a fresh start.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>This</strong> <strong>is</strong> <strong>urgent</strong>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Samantha is a single mother who has spent more than a decade figuring life out largely on her own. She has always been the person who finds a way. The person who keeps going. The person who doesn’t ask anyone to carry her burdens.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She has done everything she can to keep things stable for her son.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But after being laid off from her job and struggling to find stable employment, she has reached a point where the financial strain has become too much to overcome alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And unfortunately, this has come after an already incredibly difficult year.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She has faced a breast cancer scare, a concussion, hours in the hospital, mounting financial stress, and the constant pressure of trying to provide for her child while navigating everything without a strong support system nearby.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Through all of it, she has continued taking care of her son.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She has continued trying to work.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She has continued applying for jobs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She has continued trying to figure out what comes next.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But now, the clock is running out.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have approximately one week to raise enough money to help Samantha and her son relocate to Minnesota, where her family can finally be there to support them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Minnesota isn’t a magical solution, and this isn’t about pretending that moving will make every problem disappear.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It’s about having people nearby.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Family who can physically show up.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Someone who can help when she needs childcare.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Someone who can sit with her when everything feels overwhelming.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A support system for her and her son while she finds work, gets financially stable, and begins putting the pieces back together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, she doesn’t have the luxury of waiting months to figure everything out.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She is facing the loss of her housing, and she needs somewhere safe and stable for herself and her son.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That is why we are asking for help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our goal is to raise enough to cover transportation, moving expenses, temporary necessities, and the initial costs of getting established in Minnesota while she searches for employment and rebuilds financially.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We understand that everyone has their own struggles.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We understand that asking for money is a lot.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And Samantha would probably be the first person to tell us she wishes she didn’t have to ask.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But this is one of those moments where pride has to take a back seat to making sure a mother and her child have somewhere to go.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you can help, please help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Even a small donation can become part of something much bigger when enough people come together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>$10 matters.
</div>
<div>$25 matters.
</div>
<div>$50 matters.
</div>
<div>$100 matters.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you can’t donate, please share this fundraiser.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Share it with your friends.
</div>
<div>Share it on social media.
</div>
<div>Send it to someone who may know of moving assistance.
</div>
<div>Send it to someone who may have employment leads.
</div>
<div>Send it to someone who may know of temporary housing or other resources.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are also asking anyone who owns or works with a moving company, transportation service, housing organization, or other resource that could help to please reach out.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because sometimes the help someone needs isn’t money.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sometimes it’s a connection.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sometimes it’s an opportunity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sometimes it’s simply someone saying, “I know someone who can help.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Samantha has spent years saying:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“I’ll figure it out.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And she always has.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But right now, she shouldn’t have to.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She shouldn’t have to choose between trying to keep a roof over her son’s head and figuring out how to start over.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She shouldn’t have to carry the fear of not knowing where they will go next while simultaneously trying to be strong for her child.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She’s exhausted. She’s scared. And she’s still trying.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re asking people to meet her in this moment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Not because she is incapable.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Not because she hasn’t tried hard enough.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But because no one should have to carry everything alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We now only have a week to change what happens next for Samantha and her son.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you can donate, thank you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you can share, thank you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you can connect us with a resource, thank you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If all you can do is send this to one person who might be able to help, thank you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every single act of support brings them one step closer to having somewhere stable to go and a chance to rebuild with family beside them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for seeing them.
</div>
<div>Thank you for caring.
</div>
<div>And thank you for helping us give Samantha and her son the support they’ve needed for so long.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With Love &amp; Gratitude,
</div>
<div>Samantha’s Family
