<div>On October 17th our mother was unexpectedly detained by ICE during a recent court hearing in San Diego, and our family is devastated. She is the most loving, kind, respectful, and honest woman you could ever meet. She has lived in the United States for over 34 years, built her life here, raised her family here, and has no criminal history. She was in the final steps of completing her immigration process when this happened.

<div>Our mom isn’t just our mother. She is our safe place, our comfort, our strength. She is the type of person who gives even when she has little, who lifts others even when she is tired, who has spent her entire life caring for everyone around her, the person who shows up for everyone with warmth, support, and unconditional love. Now we are asking for help so we can show up for her.

<div>Her absence has left a painful emptiness in our home. The one’s hurting the most is her kids &amp; her granddaughter, who misses her grandma with every part of her little heart. She cries for her, prays for her, and says that her only Christmas wish this year is to have her grandma back home. No child should have to feel this loss.

<div>We are raising funds to cover the legal fees needed to fight for her release and reunite our family. Our biggest hope is to bring her home in time for the holidays, where her love, warmth, and presence are deeply missed.

Es el tipo de persona que da incluso cuando tiene poco, que levanta a los demás aun cuando está cansada, que ha dedicado toda su vida a cuidar a quienes la rodean. Siempre ha estado presente para todos con calidez, apoyo y amor incondicional. Ahora somos nosotros quienes pedimos ayuda para poder estar presentes por ella.

<div>Su ausencia ha dejado un vacío doloroso en nuestro hogar. Los que más están sufriendo son sus hijos y su nieta, quien extraña a su abuelita con todo su pequeño corazón. Llora por ella, reza por ella, y dice que su único deseo de Navidad este año es tener a su abuelita de regreso en casa. Ningún niño debería sentir esta pérdida.
