Help bring our mama home

My mom was many things to different people. She was a mother, sister, aunt, best friend, wife. The list goes on. I'm not really able to put into words yet how much my dad and I miss my mom. I'm absolutely sure whatever she may have been in your life, past, or present she is missed incredibly by many others. She was taken from us too soon on August 24th due to very severe pneumonia, which in turn caused her organs to fail shortly after, she was on the maximum amount of antibiotics, as well as 24/7 dialysis. She also had been put on a breathing tube as she wasn't breathing well on her own. Putting it simply, she was placed on life support. She was then on continued support in every way, until she seemed to take a turn for the worse. It was then my dad and I made the decision together to remove her support, after 3 days of meetings with doctors, phone calls, and family meetings. Neither of us could bear to see her in this state any longer. I know she wouldn't have wanted to be kept in this state, and I couldn't stand the thought of her suffering in anyway; being as she was in a coma. We needed to support each other and her in this decision to let her body and soul do what it felt was right. She left us shortly after, surrounded with love. She was cremated that following Monday at the Prineville Funeral Home. With my dad living in Prineville, myself in Tualatin, between the distance and finances amongst the two of us it has become difficult to cover such unexpected costs.
