<div>On Wednesday, January 14, around 8:00 a.m., my dad, Juan Carlos Guzman Hernandez, was detained by ICE while on his way to work. He was held at gunpoint and forced to hide behind a plaza so no one could see or help him. In a matter of minutes, our lives were turned upside down.

<div>My dad was detained for only three days before he was forced out of the United States without being given the opportunity to go before a judge, despite having legal representation and wanting to fight his case. He refused to leave voluntarily. However, he was threatened with having a voluntary departure signed on his behalf, leaving him with no real choice but to comply and leave the country. This was devastating for our family and has left us feeling powerless and unheard.

<div>Just two weeks later, on January 28, our family faced another painful moment when my brother, Carlos Jesus Guzman Rosas, and my uncle were also detained by ICE. In less than a month, three important pillars of our family were taken from us.

<div>When my older brother, Carlos Jesus Guzman Rosas, was stopped by ICE, he became scared and ran. When officers caught up to him, he was punched in the stomach, despite the fact that he had recently undergone surgery and was still recovering. This added serious physical and emotional distress to an already overwhelming situation.

<div>My dad, Juan Carlos Guzman Hernandez, is the owner of JC Landscaping, a company known by many throughout Arizona, as he has completed jobs all across the Valley. Through his work, he has supported not only his business but also his family. He is the father of four children, ages 18, 17, 15, and 14, and the grandfather of two young granddaughters, both under the age of four, who rely on him for emotional and financial support.

<div>My older brother, Carlos Jesus Guzman Rosas, is 22 years old and did not have the opportunity to be born in the United States, unlike the rest of us who are U.S. citizens. He is now facing his own immigration case, despite having grown up and built his life here alongside our family.

<div>At just 18 years old, I am now forced to provide for a household of seven. I am doing everything I can, but I do not make enough to support all of us and maintain a stable life. This is why we are asking for help.

<div>My dad and my brother are currently fighting their immigration cases. My uncle has made the difficult decision not to fight a case, and some of the funds raised will go toward helping support his family, who have suddenly lost their main provider.

<div>We are hoping to raise $60,000 to cover all legal expenses so that my dad and my brother can come back home and continue to support our family.
