Help Us Bring Sweet Niu Niu Home

Meet Niu Niu—her name means “Little Cow” in Chinese, a sweet nickname for a pup who’s as gentle and innocent as they come. She was just a few weeks old when she was found abandoned on the streets of China in 2023. Sha rescued her, but due to strict travel restrictions at the time, she couldn’t bring Niu Niu to the U.S. right away.

Instead, Niu Niu was taken in by a kind rescuer who already cares for 8 other dogs. While she’s been safe and fed, Niu Niu spends every day inside a single room, never going outside—except to get spayed. The rescuer simply doesn’t have the time or resources to give her the life she truly deserves.

Sha has never stopped thinking about Niu Niu, and now, after nearly two years, she’s finally able to bring her home to the U.S.—but the process is expensive and complicated.

Here’s what we’re facing:

• The CDC requires a Titer test, health exam, and vaccinations—all of which we’ve paid for.

• Niu Niu must fly through Japan (ANA- All Nippon Airways) to avoid a long layover (we chose a 1-hour layover instead of 8+ hours).

• Upon arrival in the U.S., she’ll be quarantined as required by the CDC.

• Quarantine costs begin at $1,700 and can reach an additional $700 per day.

We’re asking for help to cover just the essential costs of getting Niu Niu safely to her forever home. Every dollar brings her one step closer to the life she’s never known—walks in the park, snuggles on the couch, and the love of a family who sees her not as a burden, but as a beloved companion.
