<div>He admired its cities, culture, and language, and even learned to speak fluent English. When his dream came true and he traveled to the USA on August 10, 2025, he was filled with excitement. This trip was meant to bring adventure, new places, and unforgettable memories.

<div>Instead, our family is now living a nightmare—our son Michal is missing.

<div>We last saw him on the evening of August 19, 2025, in Staten Island, New York. By the next morning, he was gone from his room. Since August 20, we’ve had no contact. His phone is switched off, and his social media and email remain silent. The New York Police Department is investigating his case.

<div>Michal is 180 cm tall, slim, with slightly curly brown hair and fixed braces. He is still just a boy—young, far from home, and never alone in a foreign country before. We fear for his safety every single day.

<div>Every moment without him is heartbreaking. We don’t know where he is, if he’s safe, if he has food, or who might be with him. Our hearts are filled with fear—but also hope. Hope that Michal will come home.

<div>Obdivoval jej mestá, kultúru, jazyk – hovorí plynule po anglicky a túžil zažiť dobrodružstvo, ktoré by mu navždy ostalo v srdci. Keď sa mu toto leto splnil sen a 10. augusta 2025 odcestoval do USA, bol nadšený. Čakal ho výlet plný zážitkov, nových miest a inšpirácie.

<div>Naposledy ho videli večer 19. augusta 2025 v New Yorku (Staten Island). Ráno už nebol vo svojej izbe. Od 20. augusta o ňom nemáme žiadne správy. Telefón má vypnutý, jeho sociálne siete a emaily zostali ticho. Prípad vyšetruje newyorská polícia.

<div>Každý deň bez neho je nekonečne ťažký. Nevieme, kde je, či je v bezpečí a či sa má čo jesť alebo s kým je. Naše srdcia sú plné strachu, no nevzdávame sa nádeje, že sa Michal vráti domov.

<div>Preto sme sa rozhodli založiť túto dobročinnú zbierku.

<div>Finančné prostriedky použijeme na právnu pomoc, cestovanie, komunikáciu s políciou a spoluprácu s pátracími organizáciami. Pomôžu nám pokračovať v pátraní a hľadať všetky možné cesty, ktoré nás privedú späť k nášmu synovi.
