For Michael Geovanny Durazno Dominguez

Michael Geovanny Durazno Dominguez is a 17-year-old high school student from Ecuador who lives with his parents and brother in Dover, New Jersey. He is a smart, kind young man who is deeply loved by his family. On July 27, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., Michael was detained by ICE in Lakewood, New Jersey. In that frightening moment, Michael’s first concern was for his family’s safety, so he told officers that he lived alone. He is now being held at a refuge outside Houston, Texas, and his family still has not been given clear information about his exact whereabouts, even though Michael is a minor. This has been an incredibly painful and frightening experience for everyone who loves him.

Michael’s family is doing everything they can, but they do not have the financial means to hire an attorney or to bring him home once he is released. The funds raised will help secure legal representation for Michael and help cover transportation so he can safely return to his family. Having an attorney is vital to protecting Michael and helping his loved ones fight for his safe release. Please consider supporting Michael and his family during this urgent time. Any donation, no matter the size, and any share of this fundraiser can help them get the legal support they need and bring Michael home safely.
