My name is Amanda Harrington I am the daughter of Franks significant other, Nancy. I am from AZ and had the joy of watching these two love each other dearly. The sudden loss of Frank Reed has created a sense of grief that defies words. But if one thing offers us some comfort, it is the support and generosity of everyone who has reached out today in our family's time of need and grief.
Thank you, one and all, for the help you have extended so quickly. Your generosity and donations has made it possible for Geri, our mom's sister, to get on the first plane to Portugal Thursday morning, where she will join Nancy Reale, our mom and Frank's beloved partner, in attending to the details that have arisen in the aftermath of Frank's sudden death. We will also be able to bring Frank home as quickly as possible with these donations and not have to worry about a financial burden on top of the emotional burden we're feeling in such a time of loss.
Thank you. We simply can't say it enough. Your help -- and your prayers -- mean the world to us. Again, thank you!
Moving forward, the fire fighters who loved Frank and worked with him for 19 years have committed to shouldering the expenses related to his death. Thus, while we ask that you to continue to keep us in your prayers, your financial help is not needed beyond what already has been given.
In the next few days, we will turn to planning Frank's memorial service, to make sure that everyone who cared about him will have a chance to pay their last respects. More details will be coming soon. We will make sure everyone will have a chance to attend and express their love and respect for this true hero.
