<div><strong>Español:</strong> Mi hermana y mi cuñado, Jessica y Juan Jesús, junto con sus dos hijas se dirigieron a la iglesia un domingo por la tarde antes de ser peligrosamente interceptados por personas en vehículos no identificables. Esos vehículos contenían oficiales de ice que inmediatamente usaron su fuerza física contra Juan Jesús y una de sus hijas mientras la familia intentaba evacuar el vehículo, lleno de humo y dado por perdida, para alcanzarlo. Ambos padres, que no presentaban ninguna amenaza, fueron inmediatamente esposados frente a sus hijas. Ice, fríamente y usando lenguaje de adultos, gritando a ambas menores, como si el evento que acaba de ocurrir no fuera suficiente para dejar a su familia marcada por siempre. Mi hermana Jessica, que sufrió lesiones físicas durante la perdida de su coche, y su marido con heridas por ice, fueron llevados esa misma tarde. Hoy, como hermana y tía, estoy comenzando este gofundme para llegar a la comunidad y pedir ayuda para cubrir los gastos legales, así como los costos que vienen con ahora cuidar a mis tres sobrinos y su mascota. Se desconoce cuanto tardará este proceso pero, como toda familia que ha enfrentado estas horribles separaciones, esperamos que el tiempo sea rápido y que las noticias sean justas. Gracias. <div><strong>English:</strong> My sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Juan Jesus, along with their two daughters headed to church on a Sunday afternoon before they were dangerously intercepted by people in unmarked vehicles. Those unmarked vehicles contained ice officers who immediately used physical force against Juan Jesus and one of his children as the family tried to evacuate the smoke-filled and totaled vehicle to reach for him. Both parents, posing no threat, were immediately handcuffed in front of their daughters. Ice, coldly and using adult language, yelling at both minors, as if the event that just occurred wasn’t enough to leave their family distressed. My sister Jessica, who suffered physical injuries during the totaling of her car, and her husband with injuries by ice, were taken away that same afternoon. Today as a sister and an aunt, I am starting this gofundme to reach out to the community for help covering legal fees as well as the costs that come with taking in three children and their pet. The time of this process is unknown but, like every family that has faced these heinous separations, we are hoping for time to be quick and the news to be fair. Thank you.
