<div>My father is 55 years old, has no criminal record, and has been living and working honestly in the United States for nearly five years. He has an active asylum case and previously had a work permit. He is currently being held at the North Lake facility in Michigan.

<div>He is a hardworking, responsible man and the pillar of our family. We are three children and three grandchildren, Our family depends on him both emotionally and financially.

<div>His partner of more than 30 years, my mother, suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes. My father also has hypertension, and we are deeply concerned about his health while he remains detained.

<div>We have hired an immigration attorney, and legal fees are $5,000. According to his attorney, the immigration bond may range between $5,000 and $20,000, depending on the judge’s decision.
