Help Bring Hope to Mali West Africa

If you told us 6 years ago that we would be making trips to Mali, West Africa to preach the Gospel we would definitely say you were crazy! But 6 years ago during our 1st trip to this poor country we met some of the most kind and genuine people and our heart's now hold a special place for this country and its people.
For the past 6+ years a small American team partners with Malian translators, doctors and pastors to bring hope to a people group who are desperate for life transformation. We do our primary work in villages southwest of the capital city of Bamako. Our reach has now grown into six villages since we have been involved in the lives of these wonderful people. Our partnership with the Malian people focuses on bringing the love and gospel of Jesus Christ through medical missions, children and youth ministries, creative outreaches through "The Jesus Film Project", "From Creation to the Cross" and ongoing worship gatherings.
We have built a home one of the villages in order to live among the people when we are in country and get to know them intimately. Over the past 6 years the ministry and outreach has grown to include a partnership with Mana Bible School. We have been able to sponsor two young men who are being trained for pastoral ministry and will graduate in 2018 and be placed to serve in villages among their people! This past summer a young women from one of our partner villages attended a program tailored for young women who want to be equipped for ministry!
The needs always outweigh what we can provide, but some of the specific needs our team is raising money to fund this year are:
· Medicines for our February 2018 trip – primary medicines treat malaria, dengue fever, meningitis, stomach viruses and hospital/clinic visits and admittance to treat more serious ailments.
· Funding to support a humanitarian effort to have a well dug in one of our partner villages to provide clean drinking water and spur the development of community gardening projects partnering with ICRISAT (https://avrdc.org/?wpfb_dl=53) to augment the villagers basic livelihood and create sustainable food and economic resources. Money earned from farming can allow families to send their children to school and pay for healthcare.
· Funding to purchase solar powered audio bibles in the people's language of Bambara as many in the villages cannot read. Each audio bible costs $40. http://www.oralbibleresources.com/shopcart/productSolarAudioPlayersMegavoice.asp
· Funding to support on-going discipleship from area pastors who travel from the capital city of Bamako into the villages after our time in Mali has expired.
We are so thankful for the ways God has advanced the ministry in such a short time and look forward to once again being with the beautiful people of Mali. Our team leaves in early February and would like all fundraising completed by January 15, 2018 to have sufficient time to procure supplies. Please know that our team will not use any money raised from this campaign for our travel expenses to Mali as we trust God will provide to cover those expenses.
