<div>When U.S. Army veteran and Concordia Student Veteran came home from service, she carried more than a backpack full of memories — she had the unseen weight of war. Sleepless nights, anxiety in public, and the struggle to feel “normal” again
</div>
<div>became part of daily life.

</div>
<div>Then came Trixie — a gentle, loyal therapy dog trained through the Concordia University Wisconsin Veteran Resource Center (VRC). With Trixie by her side, she began to smile again. She found the courage to attend class, connect with others, and rediscover peace.

<div>At the CUW Veteran Resource Center, we’re committed to helping our student veterans heal — body, mind, and spirit. Our therapy dog program brings comfort, companionship, and hope to those who’ve served our nation with honor. But each dog requires specialized training, veterinary care, and ongoing support — costs that can only be met through the generosity of donors like you.

<div>Please help us raise money for the Veteran Services therapy dog program at Concordia University Wisconsin to support the well-being and mental health of our veterans, students, faculty, and staff. Our therapy dogs provide comfort, reduce stress, and create a more welcoming and supportive environment on campus. Your contributions will help cover costs for training, care, supplies, etc., ensuring our pups can continue their job by making a positive impact in our community every day!

<div>Your gift helps support our therapy dog program with Concordia veterans who need them most. Every dollar directly supports healing and connection within our veteran community.
