Help Bring Griffeys' Book Emporium to Delaware!

Hello! We are Aria Maher and David Griffey, business partners and engaged to be married. We are working to start an independent bookstore in Delaware, Ohio. We are creative souls and have always dreamed of owning our own business and being our own bosses. Griffeys' Book Emporium is our dream job: an independent bookstore, right here in the town we love, stocked with used, rare, locally authored, and independently published books that we are excited to share with our community!
Unfortunately, times are hard, and we hit a snag: banks just don't want to fund new, untested businesses, especially right now. That's why we are turning to YOU for help! We have met and spoken with dozens of Delaware locals who are very excited for a local used bookstore. Your contributions, however much or however little, go towards buying real goods that will help our bookstore get off the ground.
Funding needs:
- $4,000 for bookshelves and display fixtures
- $3,000 for other furniture (comfy seating, tables, etc.)
- $3,000 for building signage (to comply with our landlord's requirements, we need milled aluminum signage, which is expensive!)
- $3,000 for additional inventory (We already have plenty of awesome books on hand, but we could always use more!)
- $2,000 for additional and unexpected expenses.
