Help Bring Danielle Home To Her Family
Friends and family celebrated when Danielle and Jeff got married, and a year later welcomed baby Joey to the world, now 2 years old. They rejoiced when they discovered a year later that they were expecting their second child. On December 27th, 2017 Gia Rose Guido was born and lovingly welcomed by her family. Tragedy has struck the family, complications have occurred, and now this hard working, independent couple, son and newborn baby girl need your help.
On Sunday, January 7th the family attended their first photo shoot with now 10 day old Gia Rose. During the photo shoot Danielle still recovering from her c-section experienced tingling in her arms and suffered a thunderclap headache and was rushed by ambulance to St. Joseph's hospital. Danielle went into emergency surgery with bleeding on the brain and then was put into a medically induced coma. As of today the swelling on the brain went down which is a great sign and the medical team plans on doing a die test to see if there is more blockage to the brain. We are waiting on medical results but the doctors have expressed the potential of long term side effects affecting her physical health and will need an unsure amount of rehabilitation. Weeks of close observation in the intensive care unit (ICU) will be required to ensure her successful recovery.
Even the best insurance barely covers the whole cost of a complicated hospital birth like a C-Section. Add an emergency brain surgery 10 days later leading to weeks in the ICU and perhaps months of recovery time. This young family will find themselves in financial crisis.
Jeff will be the sole caregiver to his small son Joey and his newborn baby girl now home gaining strength. Jeff will be out of work as Danielle continues to fight for her life. Even with regular visits the ongoing separation from his wife, is heartbreaking, and the financial pressure builds as he wonders if he will need help to care for their son and newborn baby, and when they will be able to return to work.
