<div>Early Saturday morning, Paducah lost 31-year-old Stephanie Stacey Whitnel in a tragic act of domestic violence. Stephanie was taken from this world far too soon, leaving behind children who now face the holidays without their mother.

<div>Paducah Police responded after 3 a.m. to KC’s Bar and Grill, where witnesses reported that a man, later identified as 38-year-old Phillip Whitnel, entered the business and shot Stephanie multiple times before fleeing. Detectives determined the two had previously been in a relationship. Stephanie was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
