Johnny's Pub closed on September 15th. After 20 very successful years, the owner decided to retire to focus on his full time career and family. Johnny's was not just a local bar. It was a place where bands got their start, a place where over 30 couples met and eventually married, and a major supporter of many community groups.
Kristin Joubert, and I have 11 years combined experience at the pub, and over 40 years combined in the industry.
We are looking for help to reopen the pub and operate it the way Johnny did, with great free local music, great service, all in a warm, friendly atmosphere. We are on the way, but need your help. The funds will help allow us to get a liquor licence, a fully stocked bar, and all the things required to get off the ground. We are looking to open asap, so time is of the essence.
Your support will mean a lot to not just us, but to the local community we will serve. Multiple community organizations have used the pub as a meeting place and will be displaced if we cannot open and give Johnny's a rebirth. We thank you for any support you can give.
