Help Bring A Pandemic Comedy to Life at the RAT Theatre!
Donation protected
After five years of development, my pandemic comedy, THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND, will have its premiere production at The RAT Theatre in Brooklyn this August.
This surreal comedy tells the story of Isabel, a woman living alone in her cramped New York studio apartment during the early days of the 2020 COVID pandemic...with only a Cockroach, the ghost of Marie Antoinette, and reruns of "The Golden Girls" for company. With the world around her collapsing, will Isabel retreat into hopelessness ... or will she find a new way to connect with the people around her?
This play was developed over readings at Tuesdays@9 at Naked Angels and had a digital reading in the 2024 Rogue Theatre Festival.
We have a generous grant from the Creative Heights Society, which supports storytellers and artists by granting them opportunities to bring their visions to stage and screen. For more information on the Creative Heights Society and projects they have supported, please go to the Success Stories section of their website https://www.creativeheightssociety.org/success-stories
We still need to raise $2760 to pay the actors, rent rehearsal space, and buy costumes and props. Anything you can give will help reach our goal and make this production possible.
Thank you!
