<div>The <a href="https://www.networkfornvc.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Network for Nonviolent Communication</a> is a community of people from all walks of life. We are a diverse group of individuals across the spectrum of spirituality, politics, race and gender. Normally, people like us would never cross paths. So what brings us all together? We are learning how to bridge the divide between one another. We envision a world of collaboration, belonging and compassion. We are making that world accessible to all through NVC training at the International Intensive Training in New Mexico.

<div>Words create worlds, so we choose to pay attention to how we speak to ourselves and one another to create a world that knows compassion. Conflict is an inevitable aspect of living in relationships. NVC practice is the catalyst that bridges the gap that conflict creates. The process of NVC starts with four simple steps: observations, feelings, needs, and requests. Knowing how to speak these freely and clearly can help bring about connection, which all of us need. It’s through connection that a path forward becomes possible. This isn’t just another communication framework; it’s a daily practice, and a whole new language – a way of seeing the world that brings personal and social change.
