Our family is facing a situation we never imagined. My daughter-in-law, Brianna, experienced severe complications during childbirth. What began as a routine epidural quickly turned into a medical emergency. A blood clot traveled to the right side of her brain, causing strokes and seizures that have made it extremely difficult for her to function on her own. Brianna is now facing a long and uncertain recovery. Doctors expect she may need surgery and months of intensive care, therapy, and rehabilitation. During this time, she will not be able to care for herself or her newborn — and her recovery journey is only just beginning.

 Brianna and my son are also parents to three beautiful children at home: Ezekiel (8), Nathaniel (4), and Olivia (1½). With Brianna unable to work and my son needing to leave one of his jobs to care for her and the children, they are suddenly facing financial strain on top of everything else. They need help covering medical expenses, mortgage payments, childcare costs, and the day-to-day needs of their growing family.
