Help Brian Platte Recover from Triple A Aneurysm Surgery
Donation protected
My father, Brian Platte, went to the emergency room on Saturday, 1/4/25, due to extreme pain in his left rib. Upon testing and scans, they found a 5.2 cm Triple A Aneurysm in his abdomen. He had to wait for an ICU bed at UW Medical Center until Sunday night and then was life-flighted over. We were at UW until Tuesday morning (1/7/25). He had many scans and tests done that are deeming this surgery necessary due to the substantial rate of growth from a previous lung scan done in 2023.
He is scheduled for surgery at UW Medicine in Seattle on Monday morning, January 13th, to put a stent in. He will need to stay for a couple of days minimum after surgery so they can monitor him—mainly his lungs due to COPD. His family will be staying in a hotel and will be with him until he is discharged from the hospital.
Brian owns his own HVAC business in Yakima and is the sole provider for his wife, Tammy, and son, Anthony. Recovery time is going to last a few weeks.
We would appreciate all prayers and any donation that is greatly appreciated will go towards all hospital stays, surgery, life flight, and any unforeseen bills.
I will keep everyone posted as we know more after surgery!
