<div>I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Veronica Wycinski to share the heartbreaking journey her husband Brett has been enduring since August 2023.

<div>Back in August, Brett was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) (Miller Fisher variant), a rare and debilitating neurological condition that has left him hospitalized for the last several months.
</div>

<div>Brett, a loving husband, son, and friend, has been facing an uphill battle... but he continues to fight with unwavering strength and determination every single day.
</div>

</div>
<div>As you can imagine, medical expenses have been mounting, and the financial strain on the Wycinski family is becoming increasingly overwhelming. In addition to the emotional toll, they are facing significant financial burdens due to the extensive treatments, medications, and ongoing care in a specialized acute care facility. Increasing insurance costs and decreasing disability and FMLA assistance are also playing a role in the burden.

<div>Brett is so grateful to have a fierce group of family and friends behind him (lovingly coined, The Wycinski Warriors). Each day for the last 140+ days, Brett's loving wife Veronica and his parents Patty + Art Wycinski have been by his side – assisting doctors and nurses with various therapies and treatments to aide Brett to a place of recovery.

<div>Veronica has truly gone the extra mile, tirelessly advocating with hospital higher-ups on behalf of her husband and those who may not have a voice – all in the pursuit of ensuring improved and compassionate care for all.
