Throughout her life she has epitomized an active lifestyle, at one time enjoying running, playing sports, and walking her dogs at the park. <div>Diagnosed with Large Granular Lymphocytic Leukemia, Brenda now has no white blood cells or neutrophils left to fight infections. Her immune system is severely compromised, and she has lived with rheumatoid arthritis for over 30 years. Unfortunately, a practitioner who was treating Brenda last year fractured 21 bones throughout her body, including 3 in her sternum which has made life even more complicated.

<div>Once 5’5” and 140 lbs, Brenda is now 4’11” and 95 lbs. Everyday movements — sitting, standing, laying down, and particularly transitions — cause her extreme pain. She can no longer do the things she once loved.
