We make one hell of a team and we can’t wait to build a life together. And it’s finally legal in Australia! Wooh! Time for cake!
As most of you know the path to true love never runs smoothly. Unfortunately, in addition to rushing the date so that it coincided with Toni’s parents' visit from Ireland, we‘ve had some significant unexpected health costs come up, which, coupled with the cost of Toni's marriage visa ($7500) has left us in a precarious position financially, despite having planned a very modest wedding.
We are very reluctant to ask for help, but after many nights of crunching the numbers, and despite our most clever cost-cutting strategies, we have decided that we need to reach out. In lieu of traditional wedding gifts, we are turning to our friends and family to ask for your help in bringing our wedding to life by contributing to our wedding fund. We have been extremely resourceful so far in creating a relaxed wedding that reflects who we are, and we're so excited to share our commitment to each other with the people we love.
Our goal of $2,000 is to cover the remaining costs of the wedding, such as the celebrant and reception venue hire. This will allow us to get back on track to on save for the marriage visa so all our pretty hair doesn't fall out from stress! All money raised will go directly towards the costs of the wedding.
Want to help? We understand this method of wedding gifting may be considered less than traditional but if you know us, you know there is nothing “traditional” about us. We sincerely hope that nobody feels any pressure to contribute.
