Help Brea Get Her Life-Saving Surgery!

Every dog has its day, but for Brea, each day is a brave battle to enjoy life's simple joys. Brea entered my life by chance—I wasn't looking for a dog, but her story touched my heart. Her previous owner moved to a place that didn't allow dogs, so Brea had no home.

More than just a pet, Brea is my emotional support dog. I suffer from bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder, PTSD, insomnia, and OCD. Brea gives me purpose and helps me get through these challenges. Each day brings its own struggles, especially when others don't understand the complexities of mental health or why simple tasks can be so difficult for me.

Recently, Brea was diagnosed with a tumor attached to her spleen, requiring urgent surgery to save her life. We won't know if it is malignant until they remove it. She also has a second growth on her chest. She needs surgery on both.

I have a fixed income, and the struggle to secure the care she needs makes me feel helplessness and overwhelmed. I've maxed out my credit cards and faced numerous rejections for new ones due to insufficient income.

Brea's road to recovery is daunting, filled with expensive medical procedures. This journey is one I never anticipated, but I am committed to seeing it through for the sake of my beloved companion and best friend. I’m reaching out to friends, family, and fellow animal lovers to help provide Brea with the care she desperately needs. About $2,300 will go toward her diagnostic office visits, x-rays, biopsies, and medication. Her surgery is estimated between $4,700 and $7000. These numbers do not include follow up costs which are unknown at this time.
