Brandon Rock has had many struggles with his health and kidneys for a huge portion of his life. He fought through his illness over the years as a runner. Brandon is a former American middle distance runner who specialized in the 800 meters. He represented the USA running the 800 meters at the 1996 Summer Olympics. He also finished fifth at the 1995 World Championships in Athletics in Gothenburg, Sweden. He completed his collegiate career as a Razorback running for the University of Arkansas Men's Track & Field Team.

In 1995, his past doctors even told him, with his kidney levels as they were at the time, that he shouldn't have been physically able to qualify for the World Championships........but he did! True heart & grit. Still after that, due to Brandon's ongoing health issues, he could no longer run anymore.
In 2008, he was in dire need of a new kidney, and was lucky enough to receive a kidney transplant! Brandon has continued to make the best of life, but that kidney has recently began to fail him in the last few weeks in March/April 2021. He has recently been in the hospital to get the care he needed to stabilize. Based on what doctors have told him now, Brandon is in need of a new kidney for the 2nd time. He will now have to receive dialysis 3 times a week, on top of many more appointments. He has a few people running personal tests now to see if one of them will be a good match for a kidney transplant again. It's imperative he finds the right match sooner than later!
Brandon really needs help financially to continue the fight as he is on disability and cannot work due to his health issues. The monthly check is not enough to cover most of his basic needs. Your donations will help Brandon buy a more reliable, used car for transportation to and from dialysis 3 times a week, AND to make trips out of town (Little Rock, St. Louis etc...) for many very important doctor visits, keep up with current household bills, pay past-due bills, and continue to be there for his children. Back in 2020, as some may know, he was also forced to move out of his rental house due to a fire that damaged most of his personal belongings. Due to that fire, Brandon lived in an extended stay hotel for over 6 months in 2020 to gather up enough funds to pay for that, and to finally/ recently, move into another place with his son. Any donations would be appreciated! By the grace of God and support of many friends and the community, he has made it this far with all his health & financial hardships, but the fight continues on for Brandon so he can begin to live life to the fullest again!
