Hi, my name is Brad Weinreich, and I’m reaching out for help as I prepare for a life-changing kidney transplant scheduled for November 2025.

I’ve been living with kidney failure and have been on dialysis for nearly three years. It’s been a long and difficult road, but I finally have a living donor — my incredible friend Steve Dobovsky, who has selflessly stepped forward to give me a second chance at life.

While I’m deeply grateful for this opportunity, the financial burden of transplant surgery is significant — for both myself and Steve. We’re raising funds to help cover out-of-pocket costs that aren’t covered by insurance, including:

• Travel and lodging during the transplant process

• Medical expenses

• Loss of income while we recover

• Steve’s travel, time off work, and recovery support

• Food and daily living expenses during our hospital stays and recovery

Over the past few years, the cost of ongoing medical care, medications, and dialysis treatments has placed a major financial strain on our family. The expenses haven’t stopped accumulating — and unfortunately, many of them haven’t been fully covered by insurance.

More than a year ago, my wife Mindy made the incredibly selfless and difficult decision to leave her career in order to become my full-time caregiver. Her support has been essential to keeping me stable and supported through this journey — but it has also meant a loss of income and benefits that we’ve deeply felt as a family.
