Hi everyone,

I’m raising funds to cover the cost of my dog Bowie’s two TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy — basically a doggy ACL repair) surgeries and his ongoing recovery care. Bowie is my 6-year-old pitbull–boxer mix. He’s a goofy, loving boy, full of personality, and he loves spending his days helping me and his grandparents out on our farm land.

When Bowie first injured himself chasing the chickens and rooster on our property, he partially tore both of his ligaments. We began with laser therapy and acupuncture to manage the injuries, but eventually his right leg gave out and required surgery in February. After a strong recovery, his left leg gave out too, which the vet had warned was very likely. On September 4th, Bowie had his second TPLO surgery, and he will still need additional treatments as he continues to heal.

These surgeries and therapies were necessary to give him a pain-free future, but the combined costs have now added up to $16,000. This has placed me in a very difficult financial position, and I’m asking for help to get Bowie through his healing journey.
