<div><strong>WHAT IS THE 'ACTS OF REBURIAL' PROJECT ABOUT?</strong>

<div>⭐The Bosnian-American filmmaker Harun Mehmedinović &amp; his team are working on creating a documentary + the largest digital database of the genocide that took place in Bosnia-Herzegovina in the early 1990s.

<div>⭐It is important for humanity to remember &amp; learn from genocides &amp; crimes against in order to stop history from repeating itself.
</div>
<div>❗We will only find closure and begin the path of healing, once we have dealt with the past by telling survivor stories, finding our missing loved ones and confronting the past.

<div><strong>WHAT ARE WE FUNDRAISING FOR?</strong>

<div>We launched a revolving GoFundMe fundraiser, with the initial goal of raising USD 25,000 to help our friend Harun Mehmedinović, an award-winning Bosnian-American documentary filmmaker, begin to address critical needs for his mission- starting with securing a reliable car so he can continue his long-term project- The Acts of Reburial.

<div>Over the past two years, Harun has traveled to more than 150 municipalities and villages across Bosnia and Herzegovina ️— including all towns, villages and hard to reach remote areas around Sarajevo, Tuzla, Brčko, Foča, Srebrenica, Prijedor, Sarajevo, Ključ, Zvornik, Višegrad, Bijeljina, Bihać, Mostar, Nevesinje and many others. He documents survivor testimonies, sites of mass violence that are often missing from the historical record and at risk of being forgotten forever.

<div>To continue this work, several critical areas must be addressed in stages. The first is acquiring a reliable 4x4 car.

<div><strong>️ About The Acts of Reburial</strong>

<div>The Acts of Reburial is a long-term Bosnian Genocide education project that documents the entire genocide and all war crimes committed during the 1992–1995 war, across the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina—not only the most well-known locations, but also towns and villages that are often overlooked.

<div>Denial remains widespread and is increasingly normalized through political discourse, education systems, and online platforms. By recording place-based evidence across the country, the project preserves memory, and protects historical truth, supports justice, reconciliation, and long-term peace in the region.

<div>The project documents crimes and genocide across various counties and towns around Bosnia-Herzegovina. Because of its scale, this work will take several years to complete.
