We are thrilled to announce that we have already hit our initial target!

Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve now set ourselves an even bigger goal: covering the next season’s annual subscription fees. These annual fees are in addition to the cost of the camera and are required for VEO to process the videos.

We’re Bootham Girls' & Ladies' Futsal Club – York, a non-profit, volunteer-run sports club founded in 2017 by Chris and Suzy Collins.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to keep girls involved in sport for as long as possible.

We’ve built a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where no girl is ever turned away, because we believe every girl deserves the chance to play, learn, and belong.

Today, our club supports:

50 girls aged 8 to 16

20 open-aged ladies

All training and playing regularly!

We’re proud to represent Bootham in the Girls West Riding Futsal League, the Hull Junior Futsal League, and host our own York Girls Futsal Cup. Our ladies’ team also competes in the National Futsal Series Tier 2, and we run FA Wildcats, Squad Girls, and Just Play sessions to help even more girls get active.

A huge part of what we do relies on our VEO Sports Camera, it tracks play automatically and helps our players learn, improve, and celebrate their progress. It’s also essential for creating video content to promote girls’ futsal and inspire others to get involved.

What Happened

Sadly, after just two years of use, our Veo camera stopped working.

We’ve had to send it back for repairs at a cost of £420 (£350 + VAT), money the club simply doesn’t have.

Our chairman has kindly paid this from his own pocket to keep things moving, but as a volunteer-led club with no paid staff, this is a big unexpected cost for us.

How You Can Help

We’re asking our friends, families, and the wider community to help us cover the £420 repair cost.

Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward repaying this expense and ensuring we can keep using the camera to support our players’ learning and development.
