Hi, my name is India. My husband, Calvin, and I are seeking help caring for our beloved dog, Boost. We’ve been together for quite some time now, and Boost has been with us from the beginning.

Calvin and I got Boost when we had only been dating for about eight months. From the start, Boost was there for us through all the ups and downs. He witnessed our love grow, and he’s been a silent supporter through it all in many ways. He’s seen us grow from college students to newlyweds, and now he’s part of the family we’re working to build.

We both played college sports, and Boost attended almost every one of Calvin’s baseball games, always cheering from the sidelines. I remember taking Boost fishing in my kayak at Beaverfork Lake in Conway, AR. He loved sitting beside me, enjoying the fresh air, running up and down the shore, chasing sticks into the water. He’s always been an active and adventurous dog.

But Boost is not just an outdoor adventurer. At home, he’s the perfect companion. He loves to lay on his back and stare into your eyes, soaking up every second of attention. He’s a cuddler who is always there to offer snuggles and loves hearing sweet talk. Boost has been the heart of our family.

When Calvin and I graduated college and moved 12 hours away to Florida to pursue my dream of becoming a marine biologist, Boost made the journey with us. He visited the ocean for the first time, and of course, he loved it. Since then, we’ve taken him on trips to state parks, lakes, springs, and the mountains of Georgia.

Boost has witnessed so much of our journey together: he saw us start our first jobs, get married (he was our ring bearer!), buy our first home, and try to start a family. Unfortunately, I’ve been struggling with fertility issues for the past three years, but through it all, Boost has been there, offering us unconditional love and comfort.

Now, Boost has two siblings—Pickles, a 3-year-old rabbit, and Lady-May, a 10-month-old Bloodhound. Since Boost has been at the specialist, they’ve been searching for him around the house. They miss him dearly.

Boost is in Urgent Care in Tallahassee, FL, and we still haven’t received a diagnosis. We’ve been running test after test, paying for each one, hoping to find answers. The doctors are working tirelessly to figure out what’s wrong with him, but the uncertainty is unbearable. We want him to come home with a diagnosis so that we can give him the treatment he deserves.
