Help Bodo Littman Cycle to the top of Mnt. Tam!

Story

Mobility is important to all of us. We are not static creatures and need to move in the life air immersing us. Bodo Littman enjoyed the life of biking. He and Jessica (prior to Hugo) have bike toured in Canada and Scandinavia. They both appreciated the life embrace that biking gives us. In 2015, Bodo suffered a stroke that left him mobility-impaired. It likely occurred on Camino Alto while bike commuting home from SF. The left side of his body does not adequately function for bicycling on two wheels. However, he has been using my three-wheel recumbent the last 9 years called a WindCheetah (also referred to as a Speedy). Now, the Speedy is over 40 years old and does not meet Bodo’s braking, handling and forward movement needs. To that end, we have found a recumbent that fits his needs: HP Velotechnik Scorpion. Bodo and I went down to Zach Kaplan's cycle shop in Alameda to test ride the tricycle; it is an impressive machine. This is the device that will allow Bodo to experience Mnt. Tam and our community’s wonderful outdoors. This motor assist recumbent has a price tag of $10k. I hope that you will consider making a sizable donation so that we can see Bodo cycling to the top of Tam to enjoy that experience that we all love. Thanks for listening & contributing!
