 Caribbean Paddlers, the Open Women’s V6 team based in Bocas del Toro, is currently seeking sponsors and donations to help us compete in our next two races:

 September 5: Copa Amador in Panama City, a qualifying race for the Pan American Championships.
</div>
<div>
 November 25–29: Pan American Outrigger Championships in Brazil.

 Our team recently placed first in the 22 km Open Women’s division, finishing the race in 2:06:25.
</div>

</div>
<div>
 We are a 100% Panamanian team made up of six paddlers from different parts of the country: three from Panama City, one from Bocas del Toro, one from the Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca, and one from Colón. Two of our paddlers are Indigenous women, something that makes us especially proud and allows our team to represent the diversity, strength, and talent found throughout Panama.

 We are fortunate to train almost every day in the demanding ocean conditions of Bocas del Toro. As a team, we continue to improve our technique, strength, and endurance. We believe strongly in our potential, but we need support to reach the next level.

 Two of our paddlers do not yet have paddles suited to their size and currently train with older paddles loaned by club administrators Angie and Caro. Each paddle costs approximately $300, not including transportation to Panama.
</div>

 We also need assistance with transportation, race registrations, accommodation, uniforms, meals, passports, and travel expenses. Some of our athletes have never traveled outside Panama, and obtaining passports and reaching Brazil represents a significant expense, especially for local paddlers from Bocas del Toro.

 Somos un equipo 100% panameño, formado por seis remadoras de diferentes partes del país: tres de Ciudad de Panamá, una de Bocas del Toro, una de la Comarca Ngäbe-Buglé y una de Colón. Dos de nuestras remadoras son mujeres indígenas, algo que nos llena de orgullo y nos permite representar la diversidad, la fuerza y el talento que existe en distintas partes de Panamá.

 Tenemos la suerte de poder entrenar casi todos los días en las exigentes condiciones del mar de Bocas del Toro. Como equipo, seguimos trabajando en nuestra técnica, fuerza y resistencia. Confiamos mucho en nuestro potencial, pero necesitamos apoyo para poder seguir avanzando.

 Actualmente, dos de nuestras remadoras aún no cuentan con remos propios que les permitan entrenar y competir cómodamente, por lo que utilizan remos más antiguos prestados por las administradoras del club, Angie y Caro. Cada remo cuesta aproximadamente $300, sin incluir el transporte hasta Panamá.

 También necesitamos apoyo para cubrir el transporte, las inscripciones a las competencias, alojamiento, uniformes, comida, pasaportes y otros gastos de viaje. Algunas de nuestras atletas nunca han tenido la oportunidad de viajar fuera de Panamá, y hacer posible este viaje a Brasil implica gastos que no todas pueden cubrir por su cuenta.
