Help Bob Lewis pay his Vet Bill

Donation protected
Bob, 89 was walking his Daschund Hawk, along Marshall Lane Kenmore last Saturday at about 3:15pm near Gilruth Street corner, when they were attacked by a German Shepherd on a leash held by a woman of Asian appearance.

Our dog received severe injuries to his spine and back while Bob had to fight the dog off with his umbrella. In the process of this my father was bitten and dragged to the ground. The owner of the German shepherd ran off with the dog and did not offer assistance of any kind.

This incident has left my father in serious shock and our dog (whom he cherishes dearly) to near death. Thankfully motorists stopped to lend a hand as well as some very kind neighbours.  Bob and Hawk were taken to the Pet Barn Vet hoping to receive veterinary assistance but unfortunately the clinic was closed. The manager of the Pet Barn kindly drove Bob and Hawk to the Jindalee Animal Emergency hospital where Hawk received immediate emergency surgery.

The vet bill is $1,500 and although Bob has paid this we know how hard it is to meet unexpected costs and the anxiety of this incident has left him not well.  He has received very loving support from the community and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Bob and Hawk are great mates and Hawk has made a good recovery.  Not so sure about Bob.
