Help Bob in his battle with cancer

Recently my brother in law Bob Williams went in for quick biopsy for a lump in his throat. A mysterious tickle had been bothering him for a while.  Certain foods triggered coughing and loss of sleep but not any pain. The symptoms were akin to acid reflux. His biopsy turned into an 8 day stay in ICU at UF Health downtown. During 5 of these days he was intubated and on a ventilator fully awake, alert, incredibly uncomfortable and without any food. His pain was intense and almost unbearable. The decision was made to remove the tube and insert a trachea tube and a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) to alleviate possible complications in the upcoming radiation and chemotherapy treatment.  

So this begins the Williams' family battle against Squamous Cell Carcinomas Cancer (SCC). The doctors are very optimistic that with proper treatment of radiation and chemotherapy this is a very treatable and curable condition.  We hope and pray that Bob's spirits stay strong, his sense of humor remains healthy and what little hair he has stays put, but it's possible the treatment will take a toll on the entire family. Doctors have restricted Bob's ability to drive or go to work until treatment is completed and he has fully recovered - hopefully as 2018 begins. 

This fund will provide Bob and his family the peace of mind to concentrate on what's important ... GETTING HEALTHY. The everyday stresses of medical bills, 2 kids in college and lost time at work won't be such a glaring distraction with this financial help.  Bob and my sister Lisa have such an extensive and generous circle of friends who have already contributed meals, chores and transportation and so many have asked "how can we help?"
