Help Black Students Recover From Winter Storm Uri

Hello!

This GoFundMe was created to support, aid, & help black college students that are recovering from the damage that the Winter Storm Uri has caused.

Many black students in the state of Texas who are parents, providers, independent, first generation, & much more, lack the resources that are necessary for their physical/ mental health and success.

This donation fund will be distributed to those students in an effort to help them acquire and/ or regain the necessities that were lost as a result of the Winter Storm Uri that happened the week of February 14th. 

Lastly, it is important to note that students are not only trying to recover from this event but are simultaneously trying to prepare to return back to school immediately.

Please, take the time to donate to this fundraiser and help a black student get the resources/ necessities they need!

Funds will be distributed to students that will be chosen through a survey promoted via social media, email, & any other necessary platforms. Identities will be verified through student IDs & student emails.

My name is Kennedy Singleton I am from Houston, Texas. I am currently attending Sam Houston State University. I was inspired to start this GoFundMe because of people that reached out to me wanting to give/ donate to the black student community. I figured this would be the best way to help my peers fellow students receive aid and help financially!
