<div>Hi, my name is Bj. I never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but life can change in an instant. Recently, I was in a terrible jet ski accident that left me with multiple severe injuries. I broke four vertebrae, my tailbone, and my pelvis. My T12 vertebra was shattered and pressing on my spinal cord, requiring an emergency spinal fusion from my T10-L2 and to remove the piece of vertebra pressing on my spinal cord to keep me from becoming paralyzed.

<div>The recovery process is on going and has been long and painful. Right now, I require 24/7 care at home and am slowly beginning to walk again. Every small step forward is a victory, and I’m determined to keep fighting so I can be the dad my son deserves.

<div>As much as I wish I didn’t have to ask, but being unable to work the bills are overwhelming and continue to pile up while I focus on recovery. Between hospital stays, surgeries, physical therapy, and ongoing care, the financial burden is more than I can handle on my own.

<div>I’m asking for help to offset these costs so I can put my energy toward healing—relearning to walk, regaining my independence, and most importantly, being there for my son.
