Help BJ Ellis with his cancer battle

Happy New Year! The 2020 year has definitely taught us how to truly cherish family and what is important. I have been fortunate enough to be taken in by the open arms of the Satta-Ellis family and learn how important they are to me. This humble 'ohana has taken me in as their own for the past few years now, and many of you have wondered, "Who is that girl in their pictures?" Well, I am their hānai daughter, you know, the girl they always wanted LOL. All kidding aside, on a serious note, our family has recently learned that my hānai dad, BJ Ellis, has been diagnosed with colon cancer. We are quite fortunate that we learned about it in time enough for him to receive treatments to mitigate the spread. He is currently undergoing radiation and chemotherapy simultaneously. The next stage of the treatment involves a major surgery on Oahu. A trip we hope to make as a family to support him and be there by his side. Insurance will cover a portion of the surgery and as you know, this family will never ask for help. Especially dad, BJ, he is literally the guy that would give you the shirt off his back or make sure you eat something.  Big or small he blessed all and everyone he came across. For decades, he gave his time coaching, from football to basketball to track, never asking for compensation, always volunteering. When he asked  or asks how your family is, he genuinely meant it, the most humble & kind and respectful person I know needs your help, for himself, and now, his family. With him not working anything you can donate to help him fight this dreadful disease would greatly be appreciated. Funds donated will go directly to the family to be used honestly for medical bills, medication, supplements, and travel expenses. Prayers are sincerely welcomed.
