HELP Bipoc Trans-Fem in secure housing and laptop

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

My name is Angel and I am a trans-femme, low-income, and first-gen college undergraduate graduate in need of a computer for work and to secure/find housing by the beginning of August to help me continue both academic and communal work. Due to being immunocompromised and having my senior year of college taken away from me because of COVID-19, I lost all three of my campus jobs. I am currently unemployed. While finishing my Spring semester, my computer completely broke and I currently cannot look for virtual work due to this. I lost all my files and data that were essential to my communal work and academic work. I am my only source of income and have no one that can support me financially.

** The money will be going towards getting a computer for virtual work and to pay the deposit/rent to secure leasing a apartment/home.  **

The virtual work that I will be doing will be taking classes in herbalism and healing, along with working as a potential tutor. My dream is to use spirituality and herbalism as a healing tools to give back and help my Black and Indigenous communities. I will be taking courses this August - September on herbalism, spirituality, and healing and need a computer to attend.  I am also a Studio Art major and hope to become an art teacher &  traditional spirituality educator, once we are able to return back to work after Covid-19. I want to continue to learn the tools to help Black and Indigenous/Brown children connect with the Earth and teach them ways to create herbal medicine to share with their families and communities, while allowing them to express themselves creatively and freely.  I want to HEAL MY COMMUNITIES and MYSELF!

In order for me to do all this, I need help to secure housing for the beginning of August  and paying for the housing deposit/rent.

I love working with children and had the ability to work within my community for the past year on educating and bringing awareness  to the history of Indigenous people in relationship to art and museums. I got to attend schools in the community and work hands on and one on one with children of color. I am deeply committed to this work and hope that you all can see that! I have been praying that things get better in the world and that I am able to return to working with children and my community after COVID-19 is gone.

Because I am trans and low-income, I am at risk for homeless and facing potential housing discrimination. I would love if anyone from the Los Angeles area could help me through the process and help me find housing. I thank you and appreciate with gratitude any donations that you give no matter the amount or any of the labor or any help you can can give. Thank you so much for supporting me in helping me find housing and getting a computer to be able to find virtual work due to my health.
