<div>We are Margie &amp; Mike. We are starting this fund for our close friend Bill Young who was just diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon cancer in January.The Cancer is partially obstructing his bowel. It is also outside the colon in the peritoneum and in his liver He receives Chemo every other week.This will continue until the next PET scan to see if the chemo is working and reducing the size of the mass. If it does not reduce the size they will continue chemo until August. Then in August they hope to remove the reduced mass. The chemo is making him very weak and distroying his white blood cell count ( which help fights infection in your body) .

<div>Since his diagnosis,He was forced to retire early because he is not able to work. With no money coming in, he filed for his pension. Unfortunately, he is not old enough to get it. He has filed for Social security but he has not received any money from them (we know how long that could take!) As Bill is fighting this disease, the medical bills keep piling in. Doctors visits, blood work, chemo treatments, scans, etc. Don’t forget gas to get to these appointments too!

<div>The money raised will not only help Bill, but his dedicated and caring wife, Jean. Jean is a teacher who has to keep working to keep medical coverage for both herself and Bill. Last year they purchased a new house. That is one more thing to worry about. We would like to take that burden off of Bill, while battling this Cancer, and Jean, while supporting him throughout this battle. We want their focus to be on fighting this disease and trying to enjoy their time together.
