Help Bill and Cynthia Rassmussen

Donation protected
Imagine waking to the sound of someone kicking in your front door. Before you can get to your feet you’re met with a blinding light and a man's voice yelling at you to get out.

“You have to get out NOW! Your house is on fire”.

This happened to Bill and Cynthia Rassmussen in the early morning of December 31st. As they lay in their home of 35 years, a fire started in the ceiling. It burned hot and fast. The flames were so large they were able to be seen from the road some distance away. This is the miracle that happened. Officers Rieber and Lorch of the Breezy Point police department happened to be driving down that road at that time. Ten minutes later would have been too late. The bravery and heroics these two officers showed was incredible. They saved Bill's and Cynthia’s lives.

Aside from some of Bill’s canaries, nothing survived. The fire engulfed 35 years of memories. Cynthia and Bill are both disabled and have been unable to work for years. Everything they had was in that house. Everything was lost. Cynthia was carried out of the burning house without shoes.

They have nothing left. Imagine watching all of your belongings go up in smoke.

They need your help. The first things they will buy with these contributions are basic necessities. After that, every cent will go to building them a home. Thank you for your support!
