Help Beverly Kalle Recover

Donation protected
Dear Friends, family, and colleagues of Beverly Kalle,

As most of you know, in late May, our friend Beverly was in a terrible car accident and sustained a serious head injury. After the initial shock, her major concern was: “When can I go back to work?” She knew she could not survive financially without returning to her job as a massage therapist. She was able to return for a while. However, in late July things took a turn.

One day after just arriving at work, she had to leave, knowing something was seriously wrong. She was suddenly dizzy and confused. During the next two days, she saw two doctors, and despite her symptoms, she was sent home to rest. The next morning her daughter Brooke, unable to reach Beverly by phone, rushed to her house to find her mother passed out on the floor from a seizure. She called 911.

Beverly underwent emergency surgery which involved drilling two holes in her skull to relieve pressure from her swelling brain. Two things are clear. If Brooke had not found her when she did and if the amazing doctor who performed her surgery had not been available, we most likely would have lost her. She is now recovering at home, but can’t drive for 6 months and is fighting to get her life back.

For over 30 years, Beverly has worked nearly every day, while raising two children pretty much alone. She courageously pursued her education to become a massage therapist, going to night school and working during the day. Her work as a massage therapist and healer has not only sustained her, it gave her great joy, knowing she was helping people. It will be at least 6 months before she can return to work. Brooke, who has acted as nurse, advocate, and chauffer, has not been able to go to work for a month, and bills are still coming. Morgan has helped as much as he can. Their love is obvious. No government help is available.

This request for help is not what Beverly wants, but she has finally agreed that she has to allow others to “do for her.” She has given to all of us, made us laugh, loved us, and never let on that she needed anything. So please give what your heart says give, and know that your gift will be a true blessing for our friend.
