11/9/17. praise from Tom!!!

Thanks for praying. Good reports, tumor and lymph nodes shrinking, lungs clearing up. Circulation to tumors is decreasing. Cat scan in six weeks to better see lungs. We return back to USA tomorrow! Praise God!!

11/4/17 update from Mexico

We are one week away from returning home from Mexico. God has sent so many amazing people across our paths. We have been encouraged by their faith, and strengthened by the bond of standing along side so many that are in battle with us, both here and at home.

Guy Duininck ministered at a church here last week and one thing he said was “God in his word never gave accolades to someone who gave up”. We have determined to stand and not give up. We are determined to finish our course!

We are linking arms with others who are in their own battle, and humbled by the so many that are linking arms with us. We are fighting from victory, not for victory.

God Bless you all that have helped with provision for the journey. Over half of the need has been raised and we are trusting God to meet the rest of the need how ever He chooses.

10/31/17-encouraging news.
From Tom: We are now at the half way point for our time at the clinic in Mexico. There are two things that the Dr has said that we are encouraged by today. One, that a couple of swollen lymph nodes are getting much smaller. Bev agrees. Two, that he feels that the fluid in Bev’s lungs is much more consistent with lymphatic backup and not cancer. We can agree with that report! Praise God for His faithfulness. This is a journey, but we know we are not on this journey alone. We sense Gods presence as we journey, and we know that the prayers of His people are powerful. We are so grateful for everyone one who is standing with us in prayer for total healing, and for those that have lightened the financial burden. It is an amazing blessing. Even though we will be coming home November 10th, this treatment protocol continues for a year! 2 Cor 2:14, Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ.

10/26/17-Update!!-

One week down for Bev’s three weeks of treatment. The days are long but things are going well for the most part. Bev got a cough right before we left for Mexico. The Dr today said there is mild bronchitis in her lungs and she should be watchful for fever and that she may be susceptible to infection. This susceptible is not acceptable. Please pray and believe with us for this bronchitis to clear up. We remain hopeful and are standing on His promises that Bev be well in Jesus name, or in Mexico we say as the Mexicans say, En el nombre de Jesus. Amen! Thank you for giving if you can, and please share this with your Facebook friends.

10/20/17 -UPDATE!!-
From Tom this morning: We are at the clinic, for the first day of tests and treatment. It is so humbling to know that so many people helped to cover over 50% of what the need is. Already we feel so cared for! This is a journey of trust and faith! God is good, and I know He wants Bev well! For me this is a real letting go moment. I have been so involved each step of the way. By Bev’s side through most treatments, learning and trying to understand the process.
Except for a couple of times at the clinic I will largely be away from Bev while she is immersed in this healing environment. I am so thankful this is a Christ centered clinic. The biggest job I have now is to pray! Thank you for continuing to pray and believe with us.

10/6/17- UPDATE-
Just got this update from Tom: We have locked in the treatment days and purchased our plane tickets. We fly out of Rapid City on October 19th and returning home November 10th. We remain trusting in the Lord's provision for the needs. We are so thankful for the Hope 4 Cancer clinic. They are a Christ centered clinic with a very effective and revolutionary approach to Cancer treatment. We are thankful to have Sundays off from treatment so that we can attend a church pastored by some friends of ours. Please pray for our travels as Bev has had a difficult time with altitude changes this past year and ends up feel rather sick. God is bigger than that, and Cancer. We are standing for complete healing! Thanks to everyone who has decided to help financially and for believing with us for total restoration in Bev's body.

9/30/17 -After a biopsy in October of 2016 Bev was diagnosed with breast Cancer. This was to be her second and prayerfully final time she has to deal with this. After subsequent scans, it was determined that the suspicious areas in her lungs and spine were signs the cancer had metastasized. Having been through chemo with the first cancer in 2000, this was not to be the path this time. Both for what it puts the body through and because the prognosis for stage four cancer using allopathic medicine is very poor. Rather than operate in fear, Bev and her husband Tom, decided the first step in seeking treatment was to get away on a retreat with the Lord. Thanks to some dear friends that covered the airfare, they decided to go to Bethel Church in Redding California. This time away helped to put things in perspective and be ministered to by the Lord. By November, 2016 Bev and Tom had visited a doctor in Minnesota, whose primary focus is to build up the immune system and give the body what it needs to fight the cancer. Many avenues of integrative treatments have been implemented over the last 10 months, but nothing has made the kind of impact needed. Indeed, the current treatments have helped keep Bev’s body stronger and most likely held things at bay. Some of the recommended treatments based on a blood test done in Greece, are not available in the USA. Now with already OVER $25,000 spent on this process (which is not covered by their health insurance), it has been determined that the best option for care is to seek treatment out of the country. Bev has continued to work part time most of the time. Through much research and consultation it was found that Germany and Mexico has some of the best cancer care in the world. After much consultation with the Lord and the doctor, it was decided that a clinic in Mexico has the type of treatment options to tackle this. The treatment is very comprehensive, but they will need to be gone close to four weeks and then Bev will also be doing aftercare at home as long as necessary. The estimated cost for this will be close to $45,000 including airfare and accommodations. The need to get going on this is increasing, and so they looking at heading to Mexico about the 4th week of October to start treatment. Ps 103:1-5 is full of hope, and just one of the scriptures that Bev and Tom are standing on. They are very humbled and grateful that so many people have been praying for Bev’s healing and thankful for those standing and believing with them for complete and total restoration.
