Help Bethany Shelter(s) Get STEM Programs & Tutors

Did you know that children in shelters are less likely to seek academic help? Homelessness has it's own impact on children's lives and when you add the stress, lack of resources that come with Covid-19 it amplifies those stressors. That's where WE come in!
MillennialScnce is a Not-for-Profit organization in Nassua County, NY that focuses on aiding children 10-17 in transitional housing to receive interactive STEM programs, mentoring & academic support. These programs will help students get over the learning hump & allow them to excel in class and in society. MillennialScnce has been operating since 2019 and within the last year, have given over 500 students access to free STEM activities along with material and supplies.
Dr. Elizabeth Bowen, an assistant professor at the University of Buffalo & faculty expert on homelessness says "Education is disrupted for all students right now. But some students have supportive adults their lives and have the financial resources to help them overcome those disruptions. Many people in the homeless youth population do not have that." Through virtual learning, MillennialScnce will be a liaison for students in shelters that will give them the academic and emotional support in a safe and effective way.
Help us to give these programs to the Bethany House Shelter so that the children and volunteers can have the materials and supplies they need to effectively assist children and change lives.
Everything helps! Thank you for taking the time to learn, please share with friends to help us reach this goal!
