<div>That was my son’s question the other evening. No parent ever wants their 10-year-old to have to ask that — and no one with stage-4 cancer ever wants to have to answer it.

<div>“I will live as long as I possibly can,” was the best answer I could find. And that’s why I’m here.

<div>My name is Beth. Almost 11 years ago, just two weeks before my only child was born, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I gave birth, then immediately began a year of intense treatment. Thankfully, the cancer went into remission, and for several years I was able to rebuild my life and be the mum my son needed.

<div>Three years ago, the cancer returned — this time incurable, but described as “manageable.” Since then, it has spread to multiple areas. I have spent the last three years doing everything medically possible: chemotherapy, radiotherapy, cyberknife treatment, and ongoing drug therapies, alongside supportive treatments to help my body cope.

<div>I am a single parent, fiercely independent by nature, and asking for help does not come easily. But my goal is simple: to stay alive for as long as I can for my son.

<div>After extensive research and medical advice, I have decided to pursue treatment at IOZK in Cologne, Germany, a specialist clinic offering immunological oncology treatments and oncolytic virotherapy. Due to insurance limitations and the physical toll of long-haul travel, this is the safest and most viable option for me.

<div>Unfortunately, this treatment is extremely expensive — significantly more than options elsewhere. I am contributing my own savings, along with funds raised previously, but I cannot reach this goal alone.
