Help Support Jane pay off Béla’s Vet Bills

As many know Jane has had an incredibly difficult year. In all of the darkness she was able to find a spot of light in Béla, her 13 week old puppy. Since coming into her life in the beginning of August he has brought so much joy to everyone around him. Béla’s spunky, intelligent (some call him a genius), loving personality has everyone who meets him immediately enamored with him. Of course Jane was instantly in love with Béla.
Béla became sick and after being rushed to a specialist animal hospital, Jane was told that his best chance for survival would be to transfer him to Michigan State University for kidney dialysis. He was infected with leptospirosis, a bacteria that causes liver and kidney failure in dogs, even though he had been vaccinated against lepto it is unfortunately common and passed through urine so undetectable to know where or when he contracted the bacteria. Jane has taken wonderful care of Béla and unfortunately this case was unlikely and the proper precaution was taken against it, so understandably Jane was shocked when her dog became so sick.
Since being admitted at Michigan State Béla has been a fighter. His Doctors have been impressed by his spirit, and he continues to battle even through his setbacks. Dialysis treatments can cost thousands of dollars, and due to the length of time of the treatment and his need of constant care, his bill will upwards of $13,000 to $16,000.
As you can imagine this would be a big financial blow for most anyone. Jane serves her community working full time for the City of Rochester. She has to be the most resilient human being I have ever had the opportunity to meet. She has overcome tremendous difficulty this past year and is continuing to now.
