<div>Update to the below (6/4/26): Unfortunately, my sister Becky passed yesterday, 6/3/2026. Funds will now go towards end of life logistics, cremation (unless anyone knows if she wanted differently), a memorial service, and my travel expenses, as well as lost wages because I am clearly unable to be a competent trauma therapist at this time. I apologize for not updating sooner, and if someone feels slighted, please message me. I didn't know that I could check messages until today. I appreciate every single donation and share more than I can communicate right now. I am indebted to you all. Love, Jenny (Becky's sister)

<div>I am devastated to share that my beloved sister, Becky, is currently fighting for her life in the hospital. On Friday, May 22, she was the victim of a brutal attack in Portland, OR. She was severely beaten and sustained a catastrophic blunt-force head injury that shattered her skull.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Becky was rushed to the emergency room and remains unconscious, in critical condition. She faces a long, uncertain road ahead in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). While the police have the suspect in custody, our focus now must entirely be on Becky's survival and recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Anyone who knows Becky knows she is a vibrant, kind, and deeply loving person who always shows up for others. Now, she needs us to show up for her.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our parents are both deceased, so it is up to me, her sister Jenny, to care for her and manage everything. I have taken time off from my job to stay by her bedside in the hospital. Because I am the sole earner in my household, taking this necessary time off results in an immense financial strain.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The medical bills are already mounting rapidly, covering critical care, surgeries, and specialized neurological treatments. They believe that Becky will regain consciousness, but it is impossible to foresee what deficits she will be left with. Once Becky stabilizes, she will require extensive long-term rehabilitation and housing support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are setting an initial fundraising goal of $35,000 to cover her immediate, emergency expenses. While we know her long-term medical costs will be significantly higher, this starting goal will help us handle the most urgent financial burdens right now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will be personally managing 100% of these funds to ensure they go directly toward Becky's care and survival through this crisis.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>How Your Donations Will Be Used:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>* Immediate Medical Bills: ICU stays, emergency surgeries, and specialized neurological care.
</div>
<div>* Long-Term Rehabilitation: Physical, occupational, and speech therapy to help her heal.
</div>
<div>* Living Expenses: Covering Becky's expenses and daily necessities while she cannot work, including making sure her cherished dog Fred is well-taken care of until they can be reunited and paying in advance storage fees so that she doesn’t lose all of her beloved possessions she might need to bring back her memory.
</div>
<div>* Household Stability: Helping me cover basic living costs while I am taking unpaid time off from work to be her full-time advocate and caretaker at the hospital.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every single dollar helps, no matter how small. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this link with your network and keeping Becky in your thoughts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and support during such a dark chapter of our lives.
