<div>On July 10 Montpelier, VT got hit with a severe storm and the most catastrophic floods since 1927. My sister, Beckie, has called VT home for over 20 years and currently lives in downtown Montpelier, where the flood waters were the highest. Extensive damage occurred, and local officials predict it will take quite a long time for the downtown to become fully functional again.

<div>Last Thursday, Beckie was informed that she will need to find alternate housing as repairs to her building will take an indefinite amount of time.  Currently, her apartment is uninhabitable for her and her sweet pooch Diamond.
