On Sunday November 14th British Columbia was hit with heavy rainful and flooding resulting in mudslides, people and cars trapped on highways, and evacuation orders throughout many cities including Abbotsford. Abbotsford city is is the home to several dairy farmers including my own cousin, her husband and 4 children. Did you know 98% of dairy farms in Canada are family owned and operated?  Farmers are backbone of our country working 24/365 to provide food for Canadians. These farmers stayed to care for their animals until they were forced to leave in order to save their own lives. The devastation to these farms, animals and homes is catastrophic. These funds will be used for immediate relief for the families who need food, shelter and basic needs and also for the animals who need food, veterinary care, and shelter. All contributions will go to BC Dairy Association for distribution to farms in need. Please consider donating to help BC dairy farmers affected by the devastating flood.

*NOTE
BC Dairy Association is not a registered charity, however, if you’d like to use this Go Fund Me to support dairy farmers and their families affected by the floods, I have set up an emergency recovery fund through the BC Dairy Association. All funds raised will be used to provide urgently needed services and supplies for dairy farms and their families who have been impacted by this catastrophic event. Funds raised through this Go Fund Me will go directly to the BC Dairy Fund. Electronic transfers can also be made to [email redacted]
